Saluti,
Buon anno e buon tutto
antonio.sicoli@libero.it
Do, ho sempre suonato quella in Sib.

Do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3197180742055052837.post-23337293134756749512011-12-21T17:47:22.600-08:002011-12-21T17:47:22.600-08:00The Rudy 6/4 is, what I consider, a Kaiser tuba. But his BBb Kaiser tubas are nowhere to be found in the US.

Miraphone is going to begin shipping production models of its new Siegfried 5-rotor 6/4 BBb tuba. Its appearance is not as narrow as the aforementioned Kaiser tubas. When trying the prototype a year ago, it seemed like a cross between a Kaiser-style and a York-style tuba. It was very comfortable to hold and play. It's not as tall (100 cm) as some other Kaiser tubas (Nirschl: 113 cm; Melton 197/198: 114 cm), but it may be broader from side to side and its throat may be wider than the traditional Kaiser-type tubas.

Of course, there is the 5/4 and 6/4 Rudolf Meinl BBb tubas to consider; the 6/4 may be in a class of its own.

It would be wonderful to have these tubas along with the well-respected York-type CC horns side-by-side for comparison.Steve Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10777547641562127251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3197180742055052837.post-83294935325792084122011-12-19T13:41:48.207-08:002011-12-19T13:41:48.207-08:00why not...why not...Alessandro Fossihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03257600709990694305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3197180742055052837.post-34445637581346531462011-12-19T11:41:32.597-08:002011-12-19T11:41:32.597-08:00You just need Eb then next? You just need Eb then next?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
